This is a letter of recommendation for Leif Juell and Jill Markey and their company, Alternative Power. We have worked with them throughout the entire process of planning, ordering, setting up and maintaining our solar system. We would highly recommend them.

 

We built a cabin on Beaver Mesa between Telluride and Norwood, Colorado during 2000-2001. Although we have two transmission lines on the property, the cost to step down was prohibitive, so we put in a solar/propane generator/battery system.

 

The system was designed, ordered and installed by Leif and completed in the spring of 2001. The system has now been in use about 1 1/2 years and has operated flawlessly. This system was delivered and installed on time in a small building in close proximity to the cabin. It is a neat, simple and accessible package that features solar panels that charge batteries with a propane generator that kicks in if battery power gets too low.

 

Leif also services and maintains the system twice a year at which time he adjusts the panels for maximum exposure to the sun.

Leif and Jill have been very friendly, accommodating and efficient people to work with. I would highly recommend them if you have need of alternative energy. We appreciate the flawless and automatic power generation that Alternative Power has made possible for us in our remote area.
